Why Us?

According to the United States EPA, more than 8.5 million tons of office assets end up in landfills, annually.  Many businesses do not have the time or resources to develop effective reuse or repurpose plans for old office equipment.  Where2give provides targeted, real-time ability to located non-profit entities whose needs match those items being decommissioned and provide the business the opportunity to donate those items, providing tax benefits and improving the environment.


The idea for Where2give.com arose out of the tragedy of the triple hurricanes that hit the United States and Puerto Rico in 2017.  The trio of hurricanes, Harvey, Irma and Maria, contributed to the costliest tropical cyclone season on record.  News coverage documented the stark reality of nature’s fury and its aftermath.  In that aftermath, relief organizations and non-profits struggled to coordinate the specific needs of communities in different stages of recovery.  Non-profit relief organizations in Houston, the first to be hit, were further into the cleanup and recovery process than Florida and Puerto Rico, who were hit in rapid succession weeks later.

While watching the heart-breaking recovery efforts play out on television, it became clear that had to be a better way.  What was needed was a central hub for non-profits to be able update, in real time, their specific needs.  From there, the idea grew beyond just providing a list of needs, to providing a means for donors to make direct donations through retail partners, making their giving easier and more targeted.  What began as a simple idea evolved further, giving donors the ability to not just give, but give more effectively.

  2. Fill out the form with as much information as possible
  3. Click Submit
  4. A charity will contact you soon to schedule a pickup!

As long as your contact information is on your profile charities can contact you to coordinate item pickup.
